The TestDome and SmartRecruiters integration allows sending TestDome assessments to candidates using SmartRecruiters, and the results are automatically published back to SmartRecruiters when the candidate finishes the test.
You can manually send assessments or use the hiring process feature of the SmartRecruiters platform.
Set up the integration
To connect a TestDome account to a SmartRecruiters account, your role in the account must be either "Owner" or "Super User" (read more about roles here). If you have enough permissions, then follow the instructions below:
- Open the Integrations & API > SmartRecruiters page
- Click the "Connect" button
- You'll be redirected to SmartRecruiters to start the integration process
- Click the "Connect" button on the SmartRecruiters page
- You'll be redirected back to TestDome to finish the integration process
- Click the "Authorize" button in the TestDome modal that appeared
- You'll be redirected to SmartRecruiters for the last time
If everything worked as expected, you should see the following page that shows the "TestDome is connected" status message:
Send assessments manually
Sending assessments manually is similar to inviting candidates via email in the TestDome platform. The only difference is that the candidate will be "linked" to SmartRecruiters and the results will be published there when the test is finished.
To send an assessment manually, follow these instructions:
- Open the candidate details page in SmartRecruiters
- In the "Assessments" panel, click "Browse" as shown below:
- Then choose a test (or multiple tests), select the checkboxes of the tests you chose and click "Continue":
- On the next page, confirm all information is correct and click "Send"
At this point, you should see the candidate in the TestDome platform by opening the My Test > Candidates tab page.
Send assessments automatically
You can also send assessments automatically by setting up a custom hiring process. To create a custom hiring process, use this page of the SmartRecruiters platform.
When you have a custom hiring process set, you should add a step as shown below:
In this step, make sure you add a TestDome test and enable the "Auto-Triggered" option:
With this setup, once you move a candidate to the stage with the assessment, the test invitation will be sent automatically to the candidate.
Moving a candidate to a specific stage in the hiring process looks like this:
If your SmartRecruiters hiring process has steps on multiple steps, you can configure it to automatically move the candidate to the next step based on the TestDome assessment result which will make your process a lot faster and more efficient.
To do that, use the "Workflows" option in the step options of the hiring process:
Then you can configure, for example, that if a candidate scores more than 80 in a given assessment, it should be automatically moved to the "Video Interview" stage. This configuration is demonstrated in this image:
This gives you more time to invest into evaluating only the candidates that are worth it for the job role.
